Dedicated to Excellence in Foot & Ankle Care
Barbra Buckley
DPM
Dr. Barbara Buckley, D.P.M. is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon specializing in foot, ankle, and vein care. She brings over 15 years of clinical and surgical experience to Foot, Ankle & Vein Specialists, a division of USFAS, where she is known for her compassionate, patient-first approach.
From a young age, Dr. Buckley felt called to the medical field and considers her work not only a profession but a deeply fulfilling vocation.
Dr. Buckley attended Cardinal Mooney H.S. and received a full ride scholarship for both academics and athletics for college at University of Central Florida. She rowed for UCF for all four years of her undergraduate career while pursuing a premedical bachelor's degree.
After graduating with honors from the University of Central Florida in 2005, Dr. Buckley attended Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. While in medical school, she served as president of the American Association of Women Podiatrists, and participated in church-led charity work.
Dr. Buckley completed a three-year surgical residency at Mercy Hospital in Miami, where she received advanced training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, external fixation techniques, varicose vein treatments and wound care. She has treated athletes at every level, including collegiate and professional, and has participated in medical missions to the Yucatán with the Crippled Children’s Medical Mission.
In addition to her surgical training, Dr. Buckley completed an intensive six-month program in venous disease management, including venous ablation, Varithena® foam therapy, and sclerotherapy. This specialized training allows her to offer comprehensive treatment options for patients suffering from varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, and related conditions.
Dr. Buckley is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) and is a proud member of both the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association (FPMA). Her research in wound care has been published in the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association (JAPMA).
Outside of the office, Dr. Buckley enjoys spending time cooking, traveling, serving in the children’s ministry at her church, and most of all spending time with her family.
